i needed an excuse to use the nifty robot character. i tweaked her with some minor morphs to "cute-en" her up a bit :)

this is more or less a test scene. the scene i want to build involves much more effort (learning bryce sufficently, for one - more complex texture maps for another) since that looks to be a ways away, i had to render this just so i wouldn't lose sight

Very nicely done render. ^^ I have that suit on my wishlist on Daz3d LOL

:thanks: thanks and thanks for the :+fav:

it was on my wishlist for while too :) between a sale, member discount, and a couple of coupons, i couldn't pass it up. it's a great model. i'm trying to put together a bump and displacement map for it, all the scrollwork, etching, screws, etc. are flat. and i need to wrote a script to change the reflection map, it's brutal to change otherwise.

the rest of my wishlist is waiting for the next big daz sale. i love those...

Just picked it up...despite the coupon they gave me didn't do anything for the discount... But I do have a question, have you had it where you can't see most of the body til it renders?

yes. it's the transparency maps and it's a weird effect. i switch to one of the lined views so i can see what's going on.

I usually stick with the 'rendered' maps so I can see everything that I'm doing. I'll have to try that out though.

me too. i wish poser would use the openGL stuff as well as daz studio. but daz studio frequently crashes when i import some poser models and scenes. and i find "posing" to be more tedious in DS. it also doesn't handle scaling as well; scaling 1 part doesn't affect the connected parts correctly. but i like the DS interface better for most other things. and it renders faster and nicer. i think within another minor version or two, DS will trump poser.

i'd do my final renders in DS, but it's just too unstable for me. hmm, i upgraded my vid drivers, maybe it's time to retry?

:thanks: thanks so much! aiko makes for the cutest robot, and the aikobot by Parris :worship: is a beautifully brilliant figure that takes full advantage of that.
